When the royal\npalaces had finally been finished and the King moved there, the Alcazaba was\nturned into a&nbsp;military fortress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/focusoneurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/images-1-2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;Torre de la Vela&nbsp;is\nthe largest tower of the fortress. When the Christians captured Granada, they brought a\nbell with them called \u2018La Vela\u2019,\nwhich they used to signal their victory. It was also used as a&nbsp;night\nsignal to notify to the farmers&nbsp;on the plains that they could water their\nfields. From the top of the tower, you will see an amazing panoramic view of\nthe city, the Sierra Nevada and the\nsurrounding villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The floor plan of the Alcazaba is an irregular rectangular shape and has\ntwo separate precincts: an outer area that serves as a&nbsp;defensive\nwall&nbsp;and a second inner precinct, which is raised.
