- Granada is part of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia (which consists of much of the south of Spain, from Huelva to Almeria), and is located in the province of Granada.
- The city is located 738 m above sea level

- The Alhambra is the most famous landmark and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984. It is the most famous building of Islamic origin in Andalusia. The old Arabic quarter of the city, the Albaicín, is also a World Heritage Site.
- Waterfalls in Monachil and hot springs in Santa Fe offer natural beauty near to the city.
- 30 minutes to the beach: the Costa Tropical (tropical coast) with its amazing climate and tropical fruits, as well as , importantly, beautiful beaches.
- 30 minutes to the Sierra Nevada and the Sierra Nevada National Park: therefore, there is the possibility of skiing in winter, going trekking in summer, and enjoying the fantastic panorama all year round.
- 15 minutes to Granada Airport, a small airport with a few external flights to major european airports.
- 90 minutes to Málaga Airport, a major airport with more than one hundred connections to airports throughout Europe.
